Located amidst the rolling hills of North Maleny, this pair of bespoke cabins offers the ultimate blend of luxury and tranquillity. Designed to capture the sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, each cabin features a timeless yet modern aesthetic. Signature elements include free-standing baths with large fixed windows, timber feature walls, and wood-fired fireplaces that create a cosy and inviting retreat. The thoughtfully designed interiors, complete with walk-through robes leading to expansive bathrooms with floor-to-ceiling tiles, ensure a harmonious connection between comfort and style.
The primary challenge for this project was the sloped nature of the site. However, this was addressed with ease using Saltair’s engineered stump and rail system, which provided a stable and adaptable foundation for the cabins. The design and construction processes proceeded smoothly, resulting in a seamless integration of the cabins with their picturesque surroundings.
Saltair leveraged its modular expertise to design and build cabins that maximise the site's natural beauty while meeting the functional needs of the clients. The elevated design on stumps not only complemented the sloping terrain but also enhanced the views from the large fixed windows. Interior spaces were curated to evoke luxury and relaxation, with standout features like timber walls, wood-fired fireplaces, and spa-inspired bathrooms. The result is a pair of cabins that serve as private sanctuaries in the heart of North Maleny.
