Doonan Secondary Dwelling
Set on an expansive 8,229m2 block in the scenic suburb of Doonan, this custom-built secondary dwelling exemplifies modern luxury and thoughtful design. Created to serve as a secondary home while adhering to size regulations, the project combines premium materials, stylish aesthetics, and high functionality to meet the clients' vision. Despite the size limitations of a secondary dwelling, the home is equipped with all the modern comforts and luxurious features of a full-sized residence.
The primary challenge of this project was to incorporate the clients' extensive requirements into the limited footprint allowed for secondary dwellings. Achieving this balance required innovative space planning and careful material selection to deliver a high-end living experience without compromise.
Saltair designed a bespoke dwelling that utilised every square metre to its fullest potential. The exterior features a striking combination of materials. Inside, the focus was on creating an inviting and functional space. Window bench seats were incorporated to connect the home to its natural surroundings, while a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen with an induction cooktop and steam oven, and provide ultimate comfort and style. This luxury secondary dwelling in Doonan demonstrates Saltair’s ability to combine innovative design with high-quality craftsmanship, delivering a home that exceeds expectations despite regulatory constraints.
