Airlie Bungalows
Nestled in the scenic landscape of Airlie Beach, Saltair manufactured five stunning rainforest-inspired bungalows. Each bungalow was based on modified versions of our Keppel 111 and Keppel 112 designs. Given the distance factors, our clients took advantage of our Factory Complete package. This ensured that all necessary works were facilitated locally, allowing us to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency despite the project's complexity.
The primary challenge of this project involved meeting the stringent wind rating requirements necessary for the Airlie Beach area. Additionally, the 1,000+ km distance between Saltair’s factory and the site added complexity to the logistics, demanding careful planning and execution to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
The orientation of each bungalow was meticulously planned to optimise natural light and cross-ventilation, promoting energy efficiency and comfort. To meet the wind rating requirements, our team employed precision engineering techniques, ensuring each bungalow met the highest standards of structural integrity and durability.
