Welcoming Mayor Jon Raven to Saltair’s Crestmead Factory

What stood out immediately was Mayor Raven’s practical understanding of construction. With a background that includes running his own asbestos removal and demolition business, he is no stranger to the realities of job sites, safety requirements and project delivery pressures.

That perspective shaped the discussions throughout the visit. Conversations weren’t abstract or purely policy-driven, they were grounded in the day-to-day realities of building, compliance and maintaining safe, modern infrastructure that meets the needs of a growing region.

During the visit, we explored how construction is evolving across Logan and South East Queensland, and how companies like Saltair can support that growth.
