Saltair Celebrates Dual Wins at the 2025 HIA Sunshine Coast & Wide Bay Housing Awards

Our award-winning modular and prefabricated home demonstrates what’s possible when smart design meets technical execution. Positioned on a steep hinterland block, the home was carefully designed to follow the natural contours of the site. Rather than fighting the slope, the building works with it:

• A split-level layout wraps across the hillside, capturing sweeping views and creating a strong connection to the landscape.
• 11 precision-built modules, including custom triangular forms, come together seamlessly to create a bold, architectural result.
• The configuration ensures each space feels considered and intentional, from circulation and sightlines to natural light and outlook.

This project showcases how modular construction can deliver tailored, high-end homes on complex, hard-to-access sites - proving that “offsite” doesn’t mean “off-the-shelf”.

Our second award, Best Bathroom up to $50,000, recognises a refined, tranquil bathroom design within a pair of bespoke cabins in North Maleny.

Here, the focus was on creating a sense of retreat and calm, with every detail working together to elevate the experience:

• Freestanding baths framed by generous picture windows, inviting in the hinterland views
• Warm timber accents that soften the space and ground it in its natural setting
• Floor-to-ceiling tiles that add texture, depth and a sense of quiet luxury
• A layout that balances functionality with relaxation, making the bathroom feel like a private spa rather than just a utility space
